3 hours credit (3 hours lecture) A study covering the philosophy of the juvenile justice system and how it has evolved in the United States; an analysis of juvenile delinquent behavior, problems, causes, and preventions; emphasis is directed to the role of the family, police, courts, school, and other justice officials in controlling and sanctioning juvenile crime and delinquency.
