The course is designed for the student who has had a course in chemistry but feels the need for additional practice in solving problems, using the language of chemistry and developing basic skills in the laboratory. The student who has not taken high school chemistry and plans a pre-professional program which includes a chemistry requirement should complete the course before registering for the general chemistry course. Lecture - 3 hours/week. Lab - 3 hours/week.
