This course covers the basic theory and operation of various recording mediums. It introduces audio terminology, ear training, and introductory information about copyright and common practices in the recording and music business in general. No previous background in audio is needed. The student learns the theory and gets hands-on experience using and maintaining basic sound recording and dubbing equipment for recording and editing simple projects. Emphasis is on the different digital recording platforms available.
