This course covers the components of quality improvement systems using practical tools for problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and implementation of quality concepts. Activities that provide the process of reviewing and evaluating health care services will be examined as well as topics related to utilization review and risk management will be explored. This course is also a study of collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting numerical data relating to health care services. Prerequisite: GSCI 1302, HIMC 1100 or consent of instructor
