This course is a continuation of HIMC 2000 (Coding I), and covers the basic coding rules and principles for coding diseases using the ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 classification systems. Further emphasis is placed on proper procedures to code and index diagnoses and procedures. The need for accuracy and following coding rules is stressed.
