This internship is experienced during the summer between the first and second years of the program. Primary emphasis is placed on basic technical health record functions in an acute care setting under the supervision of an aced record technician or registered record administrator. Students will be required to meet written goals and objectives, undergo work evaluations, and submit a written report on their externship learning experience. Students will also participate in an externship seminar, where they will orally report on their experience.
