This course will take a more in-depth look at bones, muscles and fascia and how they relate to therapeutic massage. Students will learn how these structures work within the body and how various massage applications can work to safely and effectively restore and maintain them. Emphasis will be placed on the anatomy and physiology of muscle tissue, skeletal attachments, neuromuscular connections, biomechanical laws and myofascial integration. Students will study both theory and practical application and become familiar with resource materials.
