Music of the United States is designed for non-music/music majors who desire to expand their knowledge of classical and contemporary music. The course will also include the study of folk music, American classical composers, jazz, musical theatre, and country and pop music. In addition to listening to the music of each different style period, students will study the lives of several composers/musicians from each style.
