Role Transition is a course for the licensed practical nurse returning to nursing education. Role Transition topics include nursing philosophy, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, nursing process, scope of professional practice, therapeutic communication, legal/ethical issues, transcultural nursing, and medication calculation. Students will begin development of an electronic portfolio (e-folio). Students will enroll concurrently in NURS 2030 Nursing Role Transition Clinical, a one (1) credit on-campus lab course.
