Credits: 6 This course is a competency-based educational program consisting of lecture and laboratory instruction. It is designed to provide the student with knowledge of the acute and critical changes in physiological, psychological, and clinical symptoms pertaining to pre-hospital emergency medical care of the infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. Students have an opportunity to acquire knowledge and practical skills related to medical/legal/ethical issues, anatomy, airway management, patient assessment and medical/trauma emergencies.
