Credits: 3 This course is designed to prepare the pharmacy tech student to function in academic and clinical settings with mathematics competence. There will be a review of fractions, decimals and percentages. Pharmacy calculations will include an introduction to: calculations involving alligation, ratio, flow rates, dilutions, proportions and enlarging or reducing formulae, and dosage calculations. Also included are conversions between household, Apothecary and metric systems and how to interpret and calculate dosages from prescriptions and physician orders. F
