An overview of human knowledge, including recent discoveries, regarding our solar system and motions within the sky. In-depth investigations into the tools of astronomy; nature of light; formation of our solar system as well as physical characteristics of solar system bodies; including: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and minor solar system constituents such as satellites, comets, asteroids and meteoroids. Prerequisite: MATH 1513 or concurrent enrollment.
