Caption III will incorporate the development of captioning skills through the access of Stenograph University Online (SUO). Trouble Management for Captioners and Professional Development for Captioners units will be covered. These two units cover the General Requirements and Minimum Standards (GRAMS), which NCRA requires. To receive an "A", the student must (1) write a five-minute, 200 wpm literary take with 1.4 syllabic density at 96 percent accuracy, and, (2) be able to write a 30-minute broadcast program with a goal TER of 96 percent or higher. Lab fee: $7.00 Prerequisite: CR 2313 or equivalent (passed three 180 wpm literary with 95 percent accuracy) or equivalent. [Fa,Sp,Su]
