In-depth investigations into the tools of astronomy; nature of light; star formation; structure and evolution of the Sun and stars; stellar remnants (white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes); galactic formation; dark matter; galactic clusters; Hubble's Law; the Big Bang and the large scale structure and evolution of the universe. Prerequisite: MATH 1513 or concurrent enrollment.
