This course will examine attacks on computer and network systems such as spoofing, buffer overflows and denial of service. These types of vulnerabilities are caused by poorly written, tested and insecure code. This course will cover the importance of safe initalization, access control, input validation, symmetric and public key cryptography and many other applications for developers to take seriously when writing secure code. Lab fee: $7.00. Prerequisites: CIT 1173 and MATH 1513.
