This course is an introduction to the basic processes and theo- ries concerning the development of life on earth. Topics will include plate tectonics, radiometric age dating, relative age dating, stratigraphic principles, the organization of life, the development of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and organisms, taxonomic nomenclature, modern genetics and modern evolutionary theory.
