This course will offer the student an introduction to the most commonly referred theories of child development. Each theory will be reviewed in reference to the following developmental areas: physical, cognitive, communication skills, and social/ emotional. Additionally, a student interested in obtaining the National Child Development Associate Credential will receive specific information and the competencies to be documented for the national credential in this area.
