Description:
The student will be taught to use dictation equipment to transcribe medical dictation. Emphasis will be on spelling, punctuation, neatness, and format. This course will deal with advanced medical terminology as it relates to different specialty areas. Lab fee: $7.00. Prerequisites: CIT 1093, HSBC 1113. Permission of Program Director required. drug administration pharmakokinetics, pharmacodynamics and dosage calculations. Students will learn how to initiate and maintain intravenous lines and administer medications through a variety of routes. Students will also spend clinical time in emergency departments and use IMS settings while achieving assigned clinical competencies. Prerequisites: HSEM 1116, HSEM 1214.
