This course provides an in-depth look at quality improvement as a management philosophy, its structure and related components of utilization management, risk management, credentials, and quality assurance activities. The course provides information on several methodologies by which quality improvement can be conducted. Students perform actual quality assurance studies, compiling statistical data, problem analysis, cause analysis, and corrective actions. Permission of Program Director required.
