Web Site Construction offers students the conceptual and applicable skills in web site layout, web content integration, internet security basics, and a fundamental understanding of web administration operations. Students will take a hands-on approach in the layout and design of a web site integrating analysis, infrastructure evaluation, and basic security functions. This course assists students in preparing for the Certified Professional Webmaster exam, Certified Administrator exam, and the E-Commerce Marketing Manager exam offered through the World Organization of Webmasters (WOW). [Fa (DL)] Prerequisite: CIT 1073 (or permission of instructor) and WEB 1153 (or can be taken concurrently).
