The student will become familiar with stature and case law regarding the dissolution of marriage action, termination of parental rights, adoption law, court appointment of guardians and guardian ad litem. The student will develop skills in client interviewing and counseling; lean in detail the preparation of necessary forms and documentation to be filed in court; and learn the discovery devices such as interrogatories and deposition and emphasize their utilization in family law matters. Prerequisite: LGL:108 and Reading Proficiency.
