RTH 251 - Polysomnography Clinical Level II

Description:

The student will observe and participate in a pre-determined number of polysomnographic examinations. The student will prepare the patient for the exam, and will operate the equipment to assure the data collected is accurate and valid. When ordered by a physician, the student will initiate supplemental oxygen therapy, and/or positive airway pressure therapy. Prerequisites: Admission into the program and an AAS degree or higher in a Health Science or approval or program director and Reading Proficiency.
