This course will review cardiac anatomy and physiology, basic electrocardiographic monitoring and dysarrhythmias as well as provide an introduction to pre-hospital 12-lead ECG monitoring. Assessment and treatment of cardiovascular emergencies including treatment of cardiac arrest and ACLS protocols will also be included. Prerequisite: Acceptance in the Paramedic Program. Semester offered: Spring.
