An introduction to the nature of disease and its effect on body systems. This course includes a review of normal functions of the appropriate body systems. Diseases will be studied in relationship to their etiology, pathology, physical signs and symptoms, diagnostic procedures, complications, treatment modalities, and prognosis. Prerequisite: BIOL-112 and acceptance into the on-campus or online PTA Program. Semester Offered: Spring for the on-campus program, and summer for the online program.
