An intermediate course in American Sign Language that expands expressive and receptive skills with ASL conversations and dialogues. It provides a grammatical reinforcement of skills acquired in AMSL 112 and continues to expose students to Deaf culture's literature through videotaped narratives, humor and poetry. Students get an introduction to manual communications systems used by deaf and hard-of-hearing people, manual codes for English and fingerspelling. This is the preliminary interpreter degree entrance-level course. Prerequisite: AMSL 112. Offered: Fall.
