This course is a continuation of American Sign Language III with emphasis on conversational skills. The course examines linguistic research on signed languages, primarily ASL, regarding phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and language in use. Nonmanual signals attached to signing are also studied and emphasized for applications. This is the interpreter degree entrance-level course. Prerequisite: AMSL 211L. Offered: Spring.
