English 111S is a workshop-based course that is a supplement to English 111. It centers on strategies for developing, organizing and revising college-level essays. The course also focuses on proper use and documentation of outside sources. At the conclusion of the course students will present a revision portfolio drawn from their English 111 essays. This course is a corequisite for English 111 for all students who received a grade below a B- in English 109 or by placement test. Prerequisite: ENGL 109 or appropriate placement score. Corequisite: ENGL 111. Prerequisite: ENGL 109 or appropriate placement score. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring.
