A composition course involving instruction in writing scientific, technical, professional and/or business reports. The course includes practice in the preparation of the abstract, technical definition and description, process analysis (instructions and manuals), visual aids, memoranda, informal reports, formal letters, the résumé and oralpresentation. The course culminates in the writing and presentation of a formal, researched problem-solving report on an appropriate topic of the student's choice. Prerequisites: ENGL 111 and basic word-processing and computer skills. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring. NMCCNS: ENGL 2113. NMGECC: Area I.
