This course introduces the engineering design process using a project-oriented, teambased approach. An understanding of how one aspect of design influences another and the responsibilities of designers, technicians and engineers along with an exploration into the educational requirements and careers of professional engineers are included. Specific topics encompass the making sound decisions, the ability to communicate effectively, defining and solving problems and functioning efficiently in a team environment. Prerequisite: MATH 102.
