The course provides students with the elementary knowledge and skills they need to safely gain experience in the diving environment and, ultimately, to dive independently. Students must be in good health and demonstrate strong water skills. Upon successful completion, students are eligible for Professional Association of Dive faculty's (PADI) certification by demonstrating acquired skills at a separate location. May be taken twice for degree or certificate credit. Permission required. Offered: Occasionally.
