The course, designed for nonscience majors, covers many applications of mathematical concepts. The applications include consumer finance, probability and statistics, as well as possible topics in managerial decision making processes, coding, social-decision making or symmetry in growth. Emphasis is placed upon the application of mathematical theory and the development of problem-solving abilities with appropriate use of technology. Prerequisite: MATH 102.
