This course aims to provide a broad understanding of issues relevant to improving the quality of life in communities. Topics include economic and cultural forces, social change processes, community research methods and model programs. This course exposes students to theory and practice of community change so they can develop the skills needed to work as professional community leaders, program administrators, and/or contemporary engaged citizens. Prerequisite: HUDV 270. Offered: Occasionally.
