This course offers an introductory survey of strategies for accessing the information and developing the skills required for success in college, at work and in the community. Topics include goal setting, reading, writing, research, communication, teamwork, cooperation, leadership, conflict resolution, time management and planning, public speaking, community and technological resources, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. Variable credit. Based on placement scores, HUDV 105 or 115 is required during the first semester for all new degree-seeking students and for transfer students with fewer than twelve college credits. Prerequisite: CPE reading score. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring.
