This course further develops caring attributes and processes related to current therapeutic interventions and nursing knowledge and skills in the management of adult clients with medical-surgical disease processes in a variety of health-care delivery systems when providing safe, comprehensive and collaborative nursing care. An understanding of chronic disease in vulnerable and diverse populations is explored in acute care and the community. Current trends in health/wellness promotion and illness/disease prevention are emphasized. Prerequisites: BIOL 131, BIOL 131L, NURS 111 NURS 112, NURS 113 and NURS 130. Corequisites: NURS 121L and NURS 122. Offered: Fall and Spring.
