Provides an overview of educational interpreting. Students discuss ethical standards and techniques of educational interpreting that are appropriate to various student populations in elementary, secondary, post-secondary and adult basic education settings. The communication needs of multihandicapped students are discussed, and support services such as assistive listening devices, tutoring and note-taking services are covered. Prerequisite: INTR 112. Corequisite: INTR 298 Interpreting Internship. Consult with your adviser. Offered: Fall.
