This course is a multidisciplinary study of significant global events and issues. It will focus on developing critical thinking, writing and speaking skills. Students will explore global events and issues through political, religious, historical, philosophical, economic and scientific lenses. Students are required to assist in the development of course topics. The writing and reading components of the course are designed to develop the analytical and communication skills that are necessary to participate intelligently and effectively in today's world as an informed citizen and as an active community member. Prerequisite: ENGL 109. Offered: Occasionally.
