An course is an introduction to the study of society in the context of social relationships. It includes the study of the components of culture, the socialization process, key elements of other cultures, social structure and class, groups and organization, deviance and crime, social inequality, social institutions, strengths and weaknesses of bureaucracies, and marginalized populations.
