An introductory course in statistical methodology. Exploratory, robust, nonparametric and classical methods (descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, paired differences, chi-square tests, correlation, linear regression and one-way ANOVA) and the applications of probability are studied. The course includes laboratory time in which students use calculators and/or computers to work on individual or group projects. Prerequisite: MATH 109. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring.
