A study of the sociological aspects of aging. Students will analyze family relationships, health and health care issues, economics, retirement, widowhood, bereavement, and care of the frail and poor elderly in an aging American society. Historical, biological, psychological, social, cultural, and political perspectives of aging will also be explored. Prerequisite: ENGL 109. Offered: Spring.
