Description:
A beginning course in Spanish for the student with little or no previous exposure to written or spoken Spanish. The course emphasizes conversational skills and requires reading, writing and oral practice. The course also requires that the student go to the language lab for a minimum of 8 hours during the semester, or to register for SPAN 111L. A corresponding Heritage Spanish course, SPAN 113, is offered for students whose native culture includes exposure to the language. Offered: Summer, Fall and Spring. NMCCNS: SPAN 1113/SPAN 1111.
