This course will cover the basics of establishing and running an effective volunteer program. Topics include identifying and recruiting adult and youth volunteers, developing a training and orientation program, managing volunteers on the job, recognition and evaluation. Students will have the opportunity to practice learned volunteer management skills through handson- projects.
