Interaction between a user and a website interface can mean the difference between a successful, meaningful experience or significant frustration. This course will provide a broad understanding of the art and science of effective information transfer (interaction) over the Internet through web page interfaces. Students will study and apply several time-tested principles of web usability including layout, content presentation and underlying/supporting website architecture, forming a base upon which to plan and develop effective, interactive website interfaces. Prerequisite: MM 1153.
