This course stresses the early identification and prevention of disabilities as well as the detection of at-risk and failure-to-thrive children by identifying characteristics of disabling situations that affect children at an early age. The importance of integrating these individuals, birth to age 8, with their non-disabled peers is explained and stressed. Prerequisite: EDUC 2003/EDUC 2001.
