(Prerequisite: Acceptance into AAT Fast Track. Co-requisite: EDUC 1043 Developmental Reading, if required.) Writing for AAT (Equivalent to ENGL 1013 Basic English) is a basic English-level course with emphasis placed on sentence construction. Students review the parts of speech, learn to recognize and eliminate sentence errors, punctuate sentences appropriately, and use mechanics correctly, depending on the writing task. The course is designed to improve student's ability to write clear, effective communications at the college level. The course uses contextualized resources from the education profession to enhance the development of basic writing skills. Students who make at least a "C" inEDUC 1053 Writing for AAT have satisfied the prerequisite for ENGL 1113 Fundamentals of Writing. This course is non-transferable and is designed for students seeking P-8 Teacher Licensure.
