(Prerequisite: Completion Level I; concurrent enrollment in NURS 1266 Medical Surgical Nursing Clinical or NURS 1364 Clinical Nursing I) Components of maternal/child nursing include a review of anatomy and physiology of the reproductive systems. Topics covered are prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, family planning, and care of the neonate. Nutritional concerns and medications administered during pregnancy are included.
