(Prerequisite: Acceptance into ECDT Fast Track and a grade of "C" or better in ECDT1123 Mathematics for ECDT I) Mathematics for ECDT II (Equivalent to MATH 1023 Intermediate Algebra) is a continuation of ECDT 1123 Mathematics for ECDT I (MATH 1013 Elementary Algebra). This course covers the following math concepts as they relate to the early childhood profession: fundamental operations of real number systems, factoring, equations, functions and graphs, exponents, radicals, and logarithms. Note: This course is designed not only to prepare the student with the mathematical foundation for an early childhood curriculum but also to prepare them for college algebra. Problem solving strategies, technology, activities, and manipulatives will be integrated throughout the course. This is a fast track course that meets daily (Monday - Thursday) for 8- weeks. This course is non-transferable.
