Prerequisite: By Permission. This course introduces allied health majors to health care concepts through instruction in reading and vocabulary development. Word attack skills and collegiate/medical dictionaries are used to cover content related to health services. Basic levels of comprehension and application are stressed. Techniques in surveying, skimming, and scanning are incorporated. Technical Reading for Allied Health satisfies the requirement for READ 1213 Developmental Reading. This course has a lab component and is non-transferable.
