This is an eight credit-hour course designed to introduce nursing diagnoses important to the care of people in various stages of life. The course includes an introduction to nursing of children, maternal/child nursing, and nursing of adults in various settings. Human dimensions emphasized in this course include physical and social. Students begin the practice of independent planning and implementation of nursing care for individuals across the life span. Pharmacology is emphasized in this course. Prerequisite: C or better in NURS 1515, NURS 1552, and NURS 1222.
