This course is an introduction to computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided machining (CAM). The student will develop and demonstrate the skills required to create 2D geometry necessary for the computer-aided manufacturing system including plotting, dimensioning, and transferring the geometry to the CAM software package and making necessary changes to produce a coded program for the machine tool desired.
