This course is a continuation of Medical Transcription I and Medical Transcription II. It includes transcription of authentic physician-dictated reports organized by body system or medical specialty. The development of accuracy, speed, and medical knowledge for transcription of letters, chart notes, history and physical examination reports, consultations, emergency room reports, operative reports, discharge summaries, laboratory reports, diagnostic studies, radiology, and pathology reports is emphasized. Students learn how to efficiently use reference materials and other resources. Students learn editing and proofreading techniques, plus review grammar and punctuation. Offered at WWTC
